Lets talk adhesive, lots of people ask can I get my lashes wet. So a few facts that you may be interested in regarding the glue and why you absolutely CAN get your lashes wet in the first 24 hours.
Most decent adhesives all contain one main chemical and this is called cyanoacrylate, cyanoacrylate makes up around 90% of the glue, 5% is carbon black (makes the colour black unless your using clear adhesive) and the rest is stabilisers to make your glue last.
When the adhesive comes out of the container and on to your jade stone or glue ring it has a chemical reaction with the moisture in the air where it turns from liquid to solid( this is known as polymerisation) the adhesive will dry from the outside in so usually you would notice it going dry around the outside first. This process takes around 20 minutes although the glue will be touch dry it 1-2 seconds depending on the speed of your glue. After 20 minutes the liquid would of turned completely solid therefore only a strong adhesive remover would be able to break it down meaning a little bit of water will not affect your lashes. In fact keeping your lashes super clean will make them last a lot longer and keep your natural lashes nice and healthy underneath as your not letting dirt and oil build up around the lashes.
Always make sure the lashes are clean and free from any dirt make up or oil before applying lashes as this can also affect retention.
Please get your lashes wet!! It will not make them fall out. Poor prep application and after care will though.
