Trainer and Educator: Katy

Katy is an accredited trainer and educator and holds a level 4 certificate in adult teaching and education. Katy previously taught at the Southern School of Beauty and holds an excellent reputation throughout the industry for the level of passion and quality of training in delivery of all training.

Katy has been in the beauty industry for over 25 years and is a practicing lash and nail specialist day to day. Katy continues to educate herself and has trained and works alongside celebrity nail trainers to ensure she is up to date with all new and emerging techniques.

Katy is passionate about the beauty and nail industry, her training has been created to ensure all students have the correct skills and confidence to start their career in the beauty industry.

All students receive ongoing advice and support with all Katy’s training courses.

Acrylic Extensions Course

Master the art of acrylic nail extensions in our comprehensive course. Begin with a theory session, followed by practical training on acrylic consistency, bead pick-up, tip application, blending, shaping, and product application on a practice hand. Learn natural and French techniques, infills, and removal. To complete the course, perform a full routine on a partner. Students are not required to apply a full set of acrylic extensions on the day.

Brow & Lash Tint

Add depth and definition to your clients’ features with our Lash and Brow Tinting Course. Begin with a theory session, followed by practical training. Learn to prepare brows and lashes, mix and apply tints. To complete your qualification, perform both treatments on a partner, assessed by your trainer.

Brow Lamination & Shaping

Revolutionise your brow services with our Brow Lamination and Shaping course. Start with theory, then move on to practical training. Learn brow cleansing and preparation, application of relaxing and fixing solutions, brow mapping, waxing, plucking, and makeup to finish the look. Brow Lamination corrects and realigns brows for a more symmetrical, fuller appearance lasting 1-2 months. To complete your qualification, perform a full brow treatment on your partner and submit case studies via email for assessment.

Build a Gel (BIAB)

Learn the Build in a Bottle (BIAB) technique in our one-day course. Start with theory, then move on to practical training on nail preparation, product application, infills, and removal. To complete your qualification, perform a complete routine on a partner.

Classic Eyelash Extension Course

Discover the art of classic eyelash extensions in our comprehensive one-day course. Begin with a theory session, followed by hands-on practical training. You’ll learn lash isolation and placement on a mannequin head before moving on to a live model, where you’ll apply individual lashes following a complete lash extension routine. This includes lash cleansing, taping, mapping, application, and aftercare. To complete your qualification, you’ll submit several case studies via email for assessment by your trainer. Upon completion, you’ll have the knowledge and expertise to start your lash career, with continued support from your trainer.

Gel Extensions

Discover the world of Gel Extensions in our hands-on course. Start with a theory session, then move on to practical training on tip application, blending, shaping, and product application on a practice hand. Learn infills and removal techniques. To complete your qualification, perform the full routine on a partner. Students are not required to apply a full set on the day.

Gel Polish

Expand your nail services with our Gel Polish Course. Begin with a theory session, followed by practical training on nail preparation and application of Gel Polish in French and block colours, plus removals. The course uses Kirsty Meakin products, but your certificate will cover Gel/Polish Application, allowing you to use any brand. To complete your qualification, perform a complete routine of one hand French and one hand colour, plus removal on a partner.

Lash lift & Brow Lamination course

Learn these two complementary treatments in one course: Lash Lifting and Brow Lamination. Brow Lamination corrects and realigns eyebrows for a more symmetrical, fuller look, while Lash Lift enhances natural lashes with a gorgeous curl and lift. Learn to use chemical solutions to relax and reposition lash and brow hairs for results lasting 4-6 weeks. To complete your qualification, perform both treatments on a partner and submit case studies via email for assessment.

Enhance your clients’ natural lashes with our Lash Lifting Course. Start with a theory session, then dive into practical training. You’ll learn the preparation of lashes, placement of shield, application of lifting lotion, setting lotion, and removal of shield. To complete your qualification, you’ll perform a full lash lift service on a partner and submit several case studies via email for assessment by your trainer.

Make up – 2 Day Course

Elevate your makeup skills with our 2-Day Cosmetic Makeup Course. Day 1 covers theory and practical training on cleansing and day makeup application. Day 2 focuses on planning and executing an evening/occasion makeup look on a partner. To complete your qualification, submit several case studies via email for assessment by your trainer.

Mani & Pedi

Offer luxurious hand and foot treatments with our Manicure & Pedicure Course. Begin with a theory session, then practice techniques like buffing, cuticle work, salt scrubs, masks, hand and arm massage, foot and leg massage, warm oil, warm mittens, and polishing in French and dark colours. For pedicures, you’ll also cover exfoliating and hard skin removal.
